Full procurement outsourcing of pet coke logistics for a world class cement player in Mexico

The objective of the project was the design & implementation of a JIT logistic solution for 200 thousand tons/year of pet coke management. Reliability of whole supply chain and a 10% saving target where key issues to be solved.

During the first phase, Exiros designed, sourced, negotiated and contracted the solution. Cost objective has been overcome, and secondary operational benefits increased the impact on total cost in an additional 5% through the design of a new specialized type of trailer.

Second phase focus is the supervision of implementation programs and operational stabilization. The logistic channel supervision includes delivery planning, imports, harbor services, stocking, transportation and supplier performance control.
