Corporate Procurement Master Plan development for an European leader in the copper & brass industry
The project objective was to develop a five-year Corporate Procurement Strategic Plan to drive all purchasing operations for indirect materials and services.
Four key areas where addressed: Sourcing, Organization, Processes and IT architecture. Ten productive sites and three regional procurement offices were involved in the master plan guidelines.
A total yearly spend of 200 million euros was analyzed and 100 million where included in a strategic sourcing program. Global, Regional and Local sourcing groups were defined, and a 8 million euros/ year saving program was developed.
A 10% headcount reduction will be reached during the next 2 years trough organizational reshape, process redefinition and a new IT backbone.
